Course Fees:
The course fees for each course includes all tuition, all safety equipment, in-course transport and certifications and registrations with National Governing Bodies.
Course fees are payable before the start of the courses, either by sending a cheque with your application or we can send you an official invoice.
For information on financial assistance to support your learning, please visit www.direct.gov.uk/adultlearning or contact 0800 100 900.
Our Learning Provider Number is 12189.
Personal Equipment:
Participants are expected to provide their own personal clothing and equipment. An equipment list will be supplied to each participant prior to the start of their relevant course.
Each Centre does have such items as waterproofs, wetsuits and the like that can be borrowed during the courses. The centre can also arrange to purchase equipment at discounted rates for course members.
Cornwall Outdoors will provide any safety equipment required for activities.
Accommodation:
The courses do not provide accommodation. Delaware Centre might be able to provide self-catered low cost accommodation at reasonable rates. Also surrounding each of these centres are a selection of low cost B & B’s which the individual Centre Managers would be happy to point you towards if you are looking for accommodation.
Employment Prospects:
These courses do not automatically lead to employment, though they will no doubt enhance your employment prospects within the outdoor industry.
Cornwall Outdoors often has several seasonal vacancies each year which you would be eligible to apply for. Successful completion of any of our courses would give you the minimum qualifications required.
Towards the end of each course we will inform you of employment opportunities throughout the Cornwall Outdoors Centres and encourage suitable candidates to apply for those positions. We usually are also aware of other vacancies throughout the outdoor industry locally and can make you aware of them. |
